Obituary of Annamma Mathew

Annamma Mathew (nee Easo), also known to her family and friends as 'Ammini', born November 18, 1940 in Vadaserikara, Kerala India, to parents P.V Easo (Pantholipeedakayil Varghese Easo) and Marykutty Easo (nee Oommen), went to be with Jesus on her 79th birthday November 18, 2019. She was surrounded by her family and left us after we celebrated her birthday and blessed her at the Good Shepherd Hospice unit (Mercy Medical Center), Rockville Center, NY USA. Annamma came from a rich spiritual heritage with a lineage dating back to the very first Christian converts in India in the first century, hearing the Gospel message from St. Thomas the disciple of Jesus. She spent her life serving and giving to others in her personal life and her professional life as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She is now reunited with her late husband (Mathew M. Oommen), her father and mother, her sister (Aleyamma Thomas), and niece (Winnie Thomas). She is survived by her children (Roy M. Oommen and Susan E. Geevarghese), her 6 grandchildren (Blythe, Amahna, Jadon, Aria, Victor and Theodore), and her siblings (Varghese George, Thomas Easo, Marykutty Varghese, Samuel Easo, Alexander Easo, Johnson Easo). She was known for her caring heart, her generosity, her timely phone calls, and her infectious laughter. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, November 25th at New Testament Church, 79 Park Ave, Amityville, NY. Burial will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park, on Monday, November 25th at 11:30AM.
